Mamata Banerjee permits cinema halls in Bengal to function with 100 per cent occupancy

Cinema halls within the state can function with one hundred pc occupancy, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee introduced on Friday. Speaking at a digital occasion to inaugurate the sixth Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF), Mamata stated cinema halls could have adhere to all Covid security guidelines. 

The CM, whereas delivering her inaugural tackle from state secretariat Nabanna, requested the cinema corridor homeowners to take care of all security protocols together with common sanitisation of the theatres.

Mamata’s announcement got here a day after the Centre raised objections over the same order of full occupancy of cinema halls issued by the Tamil Nadu authorities. The state authorities was requested to take again the order. 

In a letter to the Tamil Nadu authorities, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has acknowledged that the ‘unlock’ tips set by the Centre shouldn’t be diluted. The newest tips might be in place until January 31, the Union Home Minister had stated.
