Man dies of burns as girlfriend throws acid on him in Agra

A person died of extreme burns right here on Thursday after a girl he was in a relationship with allegedly threw acid on him in a match of rage as he was getting married to another person, police mentioned.
Sonam, a nurse at a personal hospital right here, and Devendra, an assistant at a pathology lab, knew one another for a very long time and have been in a relationship, they mentioned.
But she was offended with Devendra as he was going to marry one other particular person, the police added.
On Thursday, the girl requested the person to come back to her place on the pretext of fixing a fan, Agra Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohan Botre mentioned.
As Devendra arrived at her home, she attacked him with acid, he added.

The man was admitted to a hospital in Sikandra with burn accidents the place he died, the SP mentioned, including that the girl was arrested.
He mentioned the accused additionally suffered burns and was present process therapy on the hospital.
