Manipur cops establish 14 extra folks in ‘ Kuki girls paraded bare and assaulted ‘ case

IMPHAL: Manipur police on Monday stated 14 folks have been recognized from a video of two girls who have been stripped and paraded and motion has been initiated to arrest them.

Police have already arrested six folks in reference to the viral video of the incident on May 4 in Kangpokpi district. The two girls are alleged to have been sexually assaulted earlier than being let loose by a mob.

A 26-second video of the incident had surfaced on July 19.

One of the ladies seen within the video is the spouse of an ex-Army man, who served as a subedar within the Assam Regiment and had even fought within the Kargil War.
