An international effort has resulted in the deportation of Sunil Sardhania to India, who is identified as the primary suspect behind the attack on singer Rahul Fazilpuria and the murder of his associate, Rohit Shokeen. Sardhania, who was apprehended in Switzerland after residing in Jerusalem, now faces justice in India.
The terrifying incident involving Fazilpuria, a celebrated artist behind hits like ’32 Bore’ and ‘Kar Gayi Chull’, took place on July 14th on the Southern Peripheral Road in Gurugram. The singer’s vehicle was fired upon by individuals in a TATA Punch car, but Fazilpuria managed to escape the gunfire without injury.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, Rohit Shokeen, a close friend of Fazilpuria and a prominent property dealer, was fatally shot on August 4th by assailants on a motorbike in Sector 77 of Gurugram. Sardhania later took to social media to admit responsibility for Shokeen’s assassination.
Investigators believe the crimes are intertwined with severe gang conflicts and massive financial disputes. Emerging from the investigation, Deepak Nandal, an acquaintance of Shokeen, has been identified as a key suspect, possibly linked to outstanding debts and a personal grievance.
Rahul Fazilpuria, a well-known figure with a significant online presence, is also recognized for his association with YouTuber Elvish Yadav, including a past incident involving wildlife during a music video shoot. Authorities are committed to a thorough investigation and prosecution of all individuals implicated in these serious offenses.
