The ‘mini Pakistan’ comparison made by spiritual leader Rambhadracharya regarding Western Uttar Pradesh has caused a stir. Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Bareilvi, President of the All India Muslim Jamaat, responded with strong criticism. He characterized the statement as a divisive tactic intended to mislead Hindus. Razvi stated there has been no displacement in Western UP, and the residents are content. He emphasized the peaceful relations between Hindus and Muslims in several areas and noted the population growth of both groups. He also challenged the claims about population demographics, reminding that Muslims represent only 20% of the total Indian population. Razvi questioned the need to reference Pakistan and urged spiritual leaders to focus on unity and avoid statements that could create discord.
