RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat celebrated his 75th birthday on Thursday, marking his 16th year as the head of the organization. Born in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, on September 11, 1950, he is the third longest-serving Sarsanghchalak of the RSS. Bhagwat’s career within the RSS began as a pracharak nearly 50 years ago. He was later appointed as Sarsanghchalak in March 2009. Bhagwat’s father, Madhukarrao Bhagwat, was also a dedicated pracharak, highlighting a family tradition of service to the RSS.
