Nagaland Kicks Off 9th Northeast Youth Fest 2026 in Style

The spirit of Northeast youth took center stage at Chumoukedima Football Stadium with the launch of the 9th North East Youth Festival 2026. A joint initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Nagaland’s Youth Resources Department, it features dynamic programs for regional talents.

Governor Nand Kishor Yadav, as special guest, thanked organizers and welcomed interstate reps, MY Bharat enthusiasts, and NSS cadre. ‘This convergence highlights unity, cultural sharing, and youth dynamism,’ he stated.

Spotlighting objectives of harmony and exchange, Yadav linked the theme ‘Ashtalakshmi: Celebrate Eight Forces of Youth and Progress’ to the area’s youthful prowess and variety.

Encouraging participation, networking, and nation-building for Viksit Bharat-2047, he applauded all contributors. Advisor S. Koishu Yimkhiung echoed sentiments, dubbing it a diversity celebration and talent forum.

‘ Dive in wholeheartedly, appreciate traditions, and create memories,’ he urged. The festival lineup includes cultural immersions, skill contests, and leadership forums, poised to ignite progress.
