West Central Railway, Bhopal, has introduced mAadhaar-based passenger ID verification as per recent Railway Board instructions. The aim is to combat unauthorized travel and address issues related to fraudulent Aadhaar cards and ticket misuse. The mAadhaar app, developed by UIDAI, will be crucial in providing instant identity authentication via QR code verification. This technology will be available on Handheld Terminals (HHT devices) soon, enabling secure ticket verification and the prevention of reserved ticket misuse.
