Noida Cops Crack Down on Bike Theft Gang, 12 Vehicles and Knives Recovered

नोएडा:

Sector-24 police in Noida executed a swift raid, exposing a brazen vehicle stealing outfit that terrorized the NCR. Relying on ground intel and informants, they collared two ringleaders, seizing 10 bikes, two scooters, and two unlawful blades pointed out by the accused.

The arrested men—Aniket alias Ankit (24) from Ghaziabad’s Khoda Colony and his partner Ratan Singh alias Ravi (23)—were captured in Sector-11’s T-Block. Questioning revealed their tactics: casing high-traffic zones and unattended vehicles, pilfering from Noida, Delhi, and NCR vicinities, then stashing in Sector-54 wilderness.

Sales happened at bargain rates, with knives as deterrents; proceeds were split for personal use. Ankit faces 15 prior cases under theft, Arms Act, and excise acts, and Ravi’s record is equally damning. The haul features sought-after two-wheelers like KTM, Hero Splendor, Honda Shine, TVS Apache, Rider, and scooters.

Ongoing interrogations seek to dismantle the entire syndicate. Residents welcome this development, as it disrupts a cycle of thefts that caused widespread distress. Police assure continued vigilance to prevent recurrence.
