GUWAHATI: Meghalaya BJP vice chairman Bernard Marak, who was charged with operating a prostitution racket from his farmhouse at Tura in West Garo Hills district of the state, is claimed to be fearing for his life.
In a video message on Sunday, Marak alleged Chief Minister Conrad Okay Sangma of the National People’s Party (NPP) had issued instructions to the police to falsely implicate him in some circumstances and encounter him. He stated he was neither absconding nor evading arrest however simply making an attempt to be secure.
