Patiala Police Identify Woman Killed and Dumped in Blue Drum Near Bridge

Patiala authorities have confirmed the identity of a woman whose body was found stuffed inside a blue drum near the DMW bridge. The victim, Neha from Gopal Colony, was reportedly strangled before her body was concealed in the container and discarded. DSP Jagjit Singh Randhawa stated that the discovery was made on Wednesday and a post-mortem was conducted immediately. According to the family, Neha stepped out on Tuesday morning with her mother’s mobile phone. Because she sometimes left without informing anyone, her absence did not raise immediate suspicion. Alarm bells rang only when she did not return. Police have since registered a case against unknown persons and launched a manhunt. Investigators learned that Neha had been divorced and was living separately from her ex-husband. While this angle is being probed, no evidence has surfaced to suggest his involvement. Police say they are keeping all possibilities open. The body has been handed over to relatives after post-mortem. Senior officers assured that every possible lead is being pursued to identify and arrest the perpetrators quickly.
