Patriotic Anthology ‘Operation Sindoor’ Unveiled on Anniversary
1 min readIn a stirring homage to military prowess, the inaugural anniversary of Operation Sindoor saw the release of a poetry collection titled ‘Operation Sindoor: 100 Best Poems.’ The event unfolded at the Sammelan Hall of Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts in New Delhi, with Chairman Ram Bahadur Rai officiating the launch of this Prabhat Prakashan publication, edited by Dr. Harish Chandra Barnwal.
Presiding with authority, Rai extolled Barnwal’s dedication to literary nationalism. Citing global commentary, he asserted Operation Sindoor’s perpetual vigilance, vowing future poetry contests to sustain the momentum.
Esteemed guests lent gravitas: Colonel Pradeep Khare praised the book as an enduring record of heroism, detailing the Army’s 25-minute blitz on enemy strongholds that will haunt Pakistan indefinitely.
Saeed Ansari of Aaj Tak celebrated the publisher’s nationalist ethos and Barnwal’s generosity in awarding even honorable mentions, based on his firsthand involvement with the manuscript.
Barnwal elaborated on the project’s genesis—a H.B. Poetry competition that galvanized 361 poets across India. The curated 100 poems from veterans and newcomers immortalize Operation Sindoor’s triumphs.
The hall echoed with fervent readings, culminating in commendations for over 80 participants. Prominent personalities from literature, media, and arts elevated the patriotic spectacle into a cultural landmark.
