A 21-year-old female security guard in Pimpri-Chinchwad has accused her senior officer of sexual assault. The Wakad Police have arrested Manoj Kadam, 45, in connection with the allegation. The incident occurred on September 10th at the newly opened mall, with the formal complaint being filed on September 11th. The accused, residing in Chikhali, was apprehended by the Detection Branch (DB) of the Wakad Police. The victim stated that Kadam took her to the third floor of the mall under the guise of a ‘client visit.’ He allegedly promised her a promotion and salary increase before making inappropriate physical advances. The guard resisted and escaped. She reported the incident to the police the following day with the support of her husband and coworkers. Police have registered a case against Kadam under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), specifically Sections 64, 68(A), and 68(c), and the Wakad Police Station is overseeing the ongoing investigation.
