PM Modi Congratulates Bharat Mango Festival, Recognizing its Role in Supporting Farmers and Agricultural Innovation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a congratulatory letter to the 18th Bharat Mango Festival in Delhi, organized by Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi, recognizing it as a model for agricultural innovation and farmer advancement. The Prime Minister stated that the festival supports agricultural diversity and strengthens farmer incomes through enhanced marketing and technology. The event aligns with government schemes such as PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and e-NAM, which aim to provide financial aid and online trading opportunities for farmers. The festival, originating 18 years ago, has expanded from a regional exhibition to a national event. It featured a wide variety of mangoes, farmer sessions, and awards, with notable participation from Union ministers, MPs, and other prominent figures. The festival included a millet-focused community lunch to promote the government’s ‘Shree Anna’ movement.
