PM Modi inaugurates Bundelkhand Expressway in Uttar Pradesh

JALAUN: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the 296-km-long Bundelkhand Expressway, which passes via seven districts of Uttar Pradesh and has been constructed at a value of round Rs 14,850 crore.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed Modi by providing him an area ‘Bundeli’ stole on the inauguration ceremony at Kaitheri village in Orai tehsil of Jalaun district.
Modi had laid the muse stone for the development of the expressway on February 29, 2020 and it has been accomplished in about 28 months.
It extends from NH-35 at Gonda village close to Bharatkoop in Chitrakoot district to close Kudrail village in Etawah district, the place it merges with the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.
The four-lane expressway, which could be later expanded into six lanes, passes via seven districts — Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah.

Besides enhancing connectivity within the area, the federal government expects the Bundelkhand Expressway to offer a significant enhance to financial growth and create 1000’s of jobs for the native individuals.
Work on creating an industrial hall in Banda and Jalaun districts, subsequent to the Expressway has already been began.
