PM Modi nearly flags off Howrah-NJP Vande Bharat categorical

KOLKATA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday nearly flagged off the Vande Bharat categorical connecting Howrah and New Jalpaiguri within the presence of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Also current on the event have been Governor C V Ananda Bose and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

The Vande Bharat Express will join Howrah and New Jalpaiguri, the gateway to the northeast.

The blue-and-white practice, which covers a distance of 564 km in 7.45 hours, will save three hours of journey time in comparison with different trains on the route, officers stated. It can have three stoppages at Barsoi, Malda and Bolpur.

The Vande Bharat categorical with trendy passenger facilities is more likely to be most well-liked each by common passengers, tea business executives and vacationers travelling to the Himalayas in North Bengal and Sikkim.

The state-of-the-art practice has 16 coaches, together with two for drivers.
