The Mumbai Police have contacted comedian Kapil Sharma due to a threat received after a shooting at his Canada-based cafe. Despite the absence of an official complaint from Sharma, the police are actively investigating. Sharma has clarified that he hasn’t received any direct threats from any gangsters. These developments come in the wake of the recent shooting incident at his ‘Caps Cafe’ in Canada. Sharma had also reported this earlier to Mumbai Police, at the time stating he had not been threatened. As this is the second such incident, the Crime Branch is treating the matter seriously and has contacted Sharma. Sharma has confirmed to the police that he has not been directly threatened. The investigation involves scrutiny of Kapil Sharma’s Call Detail Record (CDR) and Internet Protocol Detail Record (IPDR). The aim is to prevent any possible criminal schemes. Police are also evaluating whether official police protection is warranted for Sharma. The Crime Branch is carefully examining all details of the case to neutralize potential dangers. Police are on high alert following the cafe shooting and the subsequent threat. Both police and intelligence agencies are alert and taking no potential connections or threats lightly. Despite the absence of a direct complaint from Sharma, security measures are being actively taken.
