Chandigarh witnessed a milestone in educational advancement as Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann greenlit the departure of 30 government school principals—the eighth cohort—for training at Singapore’s prestigious Principals Academy. This Saturday event highlights the AAP regime’s proactive strategy to globalize local education.
In his motivational address, Mann stressed acquainting teachers with international teaching paradigms to robustify the public education network. He envisioned an empowered generation through superior schooling: ‘World-class education for Punjab’s kids is non-negotiable.’
Mann pivoted to politics, pledging to fiercely contest the Punjab Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2025. His barbs targeted BJP at the center, Congress, and Sukhbir Badal of SAD, decrying their policies as obstacles to Punjab’s growth.
Via X, the CM posted: ‘Another group of dedicated principals from our government schools off to Singapore for skill enhancement. Interacted with them, offered blessings, and encouraged excellence.’ This aligns with continuous international training programs for educators to master contemporary techniques and invigorate the education landscape.
Cumulatively, eight batches totaling 234 principals and officers have been dispatched. A fair, verified selection by district education officials guarantees quality. The upcoming session, spanning March 8 to 14, delves into advanced global practices.
Post-training, participants will mentor colleagues, embedding modern methods statewide. This initiative is a game-changer, revitalizing schools and establishing teachers as vanguard agents of educational excellence and innovation.
