Jharkhand Congress stalwart Rakesh Sinha has unleashed a tirade against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s surprise Rajya Sabha nomination, calling it an outrageous dishonor to Bihar’s citizens. During a candid Ranchi chat with IANS, Sinha framed the decision as a rejection of the electorate’s clear instructions from the recent assembly elections.
In 2025, Bihar voters delivered a thumping mandate to NDA, trusting Kumar to steer the state through a full term. ‘His bolt to Rajya Sabha trashes that trust,’ Sinha fumed. He zeroed in on BJP’s role, predicting this push-out all along.
‘It’s BJP’s specialty to trample mandates,’ he jabbed. The saffron party rode Kumar’s coattails to power, only to bench him now—mission accomplished for their playbook.
Sinha expressed deep suspicion over Bihar’s governor carousel, with swaps and exits galore. ‘Circumstances scream of a grand central scheme. Stay alert, Bihar—something massive is afoot,’ he urged.
Internationally, he lambasted the US oil waiver from Russia as evidence of India’s subservience. ‘No more puppetry; our giant nation demands autonomous decisions.’
Kumar broke the news via X post on Thursday, submitting his papers amid Home Minister Amit Shah’s watchful eye. This twist underscores the fragility of Bihar’s coalitions, leaving voters questioning their leaders’ commitments.
