Rebuked over ‘making advances’ to girl, man stabs her father to demise

Vadodara police on Thursday arrested an individual for allegedly stabbing a person to demise over being chastised for making “indecent advances” to the latter’s 21-year-old daughter. Police stated the accused, Varun alias Arun Patel, a resident of Ramdevpir Chawl in Karelibaug space of the town, allegedly stabbed Devji Solanki on Thursday for rebuking Patel.
According to the police, hours earlier than Patel stabbed Solanki to demise, on Thursday night, he tried to accost Solanki’s daughter, the youngest of his seven kids. The girl allegedly rejected his advances for a friendship and returned residence. She complained about it to her mother and father, who then instantly stormed to Patel’s home within the adjoining lane and rebuked him in entrance of his household.

Solanki and his spouse returned residence and had been about to sleep, when Patel barged into their residence, wielding a knife. “In an instant, he stabbed Solanki in his stomach, leading to the rupture important veins, causing heavy bleeding. The FIR lodged at Karelibaug police station has booked Patel for culpable murder amounting to homicide underneath Section 302 of the IPC in addition to related sections of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
