Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, is experiencing a period of calm following the events of September 26th, with extensive security measures in place. A delegation from the Samajwadi Party, led by Mata Prasad Pandey, a senior leader and the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly, was intending to visit Bareilly today to assess the condition. The administration, however, has denied permission for their visit. Police have been stationed outside Mata Prasad Pandey’s Lucknow residence, and the PGI police station has issued a notice preventing them from entering Bareilly.
