RTI activist critically injured in bomb assault in Odisha

A Right-to-Information (RTI) activist suffered severe accidents after miscreants hurled bombs at him in Odisha’s Jajpur district, police stated on Sunday.
Sarbeswar Behuria was admitted to Dharmasala CHC for therapy after the assault on Saturday evening close to Imam Nagar, however later shifted to SCB College and Hospital in Cuttack as his situation deteriorated, they stated.
Behuria was returning residence together with an affiliate in a automotive when two males intercepted the car, lobbed bombs and fled.

“As Behuria was driving the car, he suffered critical injuries. His assistant has also been admitted to hospital,” stated Saroj Kumar Sahu, Inspector-in-Charge of Dharmasala Police Station.
Police have began an investigation into the incident.
