During the Army’s North Tech Symposium in New Delhi on May 5, Defence State Minister Sanjay Seth celebrated Operation Sindoor as a testament to India’s indigenous defense prowess. The operation obliterated terror dens, neutralized enemy strategies, and vividly demonstrated the might of swadeshi weaponry.

Seth gave due credit to the armed forces’ bravery, enhanced by advanced home-developed systems from national industries. He spotlighted MSMEs as economic pillars and startups as global ambassadors, vital for PM Modi’s 2047 developed India dream. ‘They are the Vishwakarmas shaping our future,’ he noted.

The minister pointed to booming defense output and exports as proof of atmanirbharta, embodying a new India that fortifies its defenses without aggression. ‘No evil eye on others, no turning a blind eye to threats,’ he said firmly.

Encouraging out-of-the-box thinking to stay ahead technologically, Seth outlined government efforts, including the revolutionary UP corridor, and pledged unwavering support for innovation. GOC-in-C Central Command Lt Gen Anindy Sengupta called for joint industry efforts to future-proof the forces, gaining strategic and tech sovereignty.

Inaugurated by Rajnath Singh, the SIDM-Army event showcases private innovations in UAVs, counter-drone tech, surveillance, and more, fostering self-reliant capabilities for operational excellence.
