Seven accused of raping minor arrested in Jharkhand’s Godda

GODDA: Seven individuals accused of raping a 17-year-old woman and importing her video on social media have been arrested in Jharkhand’s Godda district, police mentioned on Wednesday.

The incident passed off at a spot underneath Rajabhitta police station space on Monday when the woman was allegedly taken to an deserted place by the culprits.

On the criticism of the mom of the minor woman, an FIR was registered in opposition to the seven accused at Rajabhitta police station on Tuesday, police mentioned.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Anand Mohan Singh mentioned that after getting details about the incident, the woman was despatched to the native Sadar Hospital for medical examination, following which a police workforce was fashioned, and raids have been carried out to arrest the accused.

The police have additionally confiscated the cell from which the video of the gang rape was made viral, the SDPO mentioned.
