The terrifying aftermath of the Red Fort car blast, which resulted in 13 fatalities, is now visible in chilling CCTV footage from the Red Fort Metro Station. The underground cameras captured the sheer power of the explosion, with shockwaves felt as far down as 40 feet. The footage depicts passengers in a state of panic as the station’s infrastructure violently vibrated.
Further details emerging from the investigation reveal a deeply entrenched terror network. It has been confirmed that the perpetrators had prepared three car-borne improvised explosive devices. The white Hyundai i20 that detonated was one of them. A second device, a red Ford EcoSport, was discovered abandoned in Faridabad, while a third car remains missing.
Authorities are examining alleged links between the terror module and groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind. The arrests of eight individuals, including three doctors connected to Al-Falah University, have been made. A significant seizure of 2,900 kilograms of explosives, along with chemicals and related materials, has been reported. A nationwide high alert has been issued as efforts to locate the third vehicle and any associated explosives continue.
