Participants included BJP members, local residents, and yoga enthusiasts. Simultaneously, the central event took place in Visakhapatnam, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nationwide celebrations. He highlighted yoga’s ability to unite people across various backgrounds. The Prime Minister recognized the efforts of the Andhra Pradesh government in hosting the event, which saw a massive participation. The theme for this year, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ promoted global well-being. India’s efforts in the United Nations to establish June 21 as International Yoga Day were also discussed.
