A stampede at a rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu, headed by TVK chief and actor Vijay, resulted in the deaths of at least 36 individuals. Among the victims were children and women. Vijay expressed his profound sorrow, stating that he was deeply affected.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a post on X, offered his condolences to the affected families and wished the injured a swift recovery.
