A significant homage unfolded in Pune’s Maval taluka at Adhale village’s Gurukul School, where a statue of the late Ajit Pawar, former Maharashtra Deputy CM, was formally unveiled. The well-attended program underscored Pawar’s enduring influence on governance and community upliftment.
Sachin Ghotkule, the school’s trustee and a prominent BJP figure in Pune, explained the purpose: to draw inspiration from Pawar’s development-oriented mindset, cleanliness campaigns, social commitment, and administrative prowess. This setup, he said, will foster holistic growth in pupils—merging scholarly pursuits with ethics of duty, order, sanitation, and exemplary patriotism.
The gathering praised Pawar’s leadership in key areas like foundational infrastructure, water resource management, village prosperity, school improvements, and agricultural support. His visionary policies propelled Maharashtra forward on multiple fronts.
Optimism prevailed that this landmark would continually motivate students to pursue public welfare, honest administration, and societal good. Plans are afoot for ongoing initiatives connecting children with role models. Pawar’s hallmark was his helping hand—swift resolutions ensured no one left empty-handed, cementing his popularity.
Pawar’s untimely demise came via a January plane disaster, which also killed his protector, two aviators, and a flight attendant. Maharashtra marked the tragedy with a three-day statewide blackout of festivities, flags at half-staff symbolizing collective grief.
