Stones pelted at BJP roadshow in Kolkata; ‘these ways will not work’, says Suvendu Adhikari
The stone pelting incident passed off simply hours after Mamata Banerjee introduced that she is going to contest the Assembly polls from Nandigram.
Stones had been hurled at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staff throughout a roadshow in Kolkata on Monday including to the already charged up environment in West Bengal forward of meeting elections.
Stones had been pelted at BJP staff who had been a part of a rally attended by Union Minister Debasree Chaudhuri, state BJP chief Dilip Ghosh and Suvendu Adhikari in Kolkata. An enormous police deployment was made within the state capital’s Mudiali space following the incident to stop the scenario from escalating additional.
Without naming the ruling Trinamool Congress, Suvendu Adhikari mentioned that these ‘ways’ will not work and pressured that the individuals of the state wan’t a change this time.

“Police permission was obtained for this rally but still few persons were seen pelting stones. But these tactics will not work because people of West Bengal are with us and they want a change,” Adhikari mentioned.
The stone pelting incident passed off simply hours after West Bengal CM and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee introduced that she is going to contest the Assembly polls from Nandigram, the hometurf of the house turf of poitical heavyweight Suvendu Adhikari, her former aide.

“I have always started my campaign for the assembly polls from Nandigram. It is a lucky place for me. So this time I feel that I should contest the assembly polls from here. I request our state party president Subrata Bakshi to approve my name from this seat,” Banerjee mentioned addressing a rally at Nandigram.
Adhikari has to this point maintained a silence over the Mamata’s annoucement.
