An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 struck Jhajjar, Haryana, on Thursday morning, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) has announced. Significant tremors were felt throughout Delhi-NCR, including Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad. The NCS reported that the earthquake occurred at 9:04 am at a depth of 10 km in Jhajjar. The NCS posted the details on X. On February 17, Delhi-NCR experienced a 4.0 magnitude earthquake that led to residents evacuating their homes. According to the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, Delhi is in Seismic Zone IV, which is classified as a ‘High Damage Risk Zone’ and indicates a high potential for earthquakes.
