Tragedy struck Jhanda Colony in Asola village, South Delhi, as 24-year-old Dilip Kumar Bairwa was found dead by suicide on March 6. The Rajasthan native, who had recently shifted to the capital for a security guard job, was discovered hanging in a locked room by nylon rope tied to a ceiling fan.
It all began with a concerned call from Dilip’s brother-in-law to Harimohan, whose son shared the room. With the phone off and no answer at the door, they forced entry to confront the devastating sight. PCR call brought Maidangarhi police, who secured the scene and called in crime branch personnel.
Forensic inspection yielded no evidence of struggle or third-party involvement, solidifying the suicide determination. Post-mortem results are awaited, but cops are methodically reviewing Dilip’s recent activities and mental state.
From Bholupura in Karauli district, Dilip represented countless young migrants chasing dreams in the metropolis. His untimely death leaves his family devastated. Authorities emphasize community vigilance and continue probing for potential underlying issues.
