Posting on X, Stalin called every ballot a ‘treasure of trust.’ Tallying 1 crore 54 lakh-plus votes, the secular front fell short by just 17.43 lakh votes to the frontrunners—a 3.52% disparity signaling strong residual backing.
He directed winning candidates: ‘Return to your constituencies at once, thank the voters directly.’ In true democratic spirit, he said, public service defines politics.
Stalin reminisced DMK’s six terms in office, navigating highs and lows while upholding ideology. ‘Workers accepting both outcomes with grace embody our strength,’ he noted.
He extolled cadres as the ‘soul and foundation’ of the Dravidian movement, their loyalty to Karunanidhi fueling progress. Brushing off condolences, Stalin affirmed, ‘With them, I’m fortified.’ Attributing the vote count to their sweat, he recommitted as primary campaigner.
DMK’s role adapts seamlessly: governing with schemes or opposing with vigor. ‘As strong opposition, we’ll relentlessly pursue people’s grievances,’ he vowed.
Paying tribute to Periyar, Anna, and mentor Karunanidhi, Stalin promised to propel Dravidian ethos, protect linguistic heritage, culture, and Tamil Nadu’s unique identity. ‘Our collective journey ensures triumph returns,’ he ended on a hopeful note.
