At Sunday’s event in Srinagar’s Jawan Armed Police Complex, DGP Nalin Prabhat lauded the inductees as a fresh wave of knowledgeable, digitally adept youngsters poised to fortify the organization long-term. The ceremony saw Lt Governor Manoj Sinha conferring appointment documents.
Standouts in the group hold advanced degrees like B.Tech and M.Tech, emerging from a competitive field of over 550,000 applications submitted post the 2024 notification. Graduates and postgraduates dominate, infusing high academia into frontline duties.
Prabhat outlined plans to spot these educated talents during training and channel their expertise into critical areas tied to Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, procedural reforms, and tech-integrated systems. Such high-caliber hires exemplify national devotion and service commitment.
The DGP highlighted the urgent push for citizen-centric models and heightened professionalism. Calling recruits the force’s core strength, he linked the uniform to ideals of discipline, truthfulness, allegiance, valor, sacrifice, and community welfare.
He exhorted them to leverage training fully, absorbing policing nuances earnestly. J&K Police’s operational landscape is unparalleled, transcending routine policing into multifaceted responsibilities.
‘Our trials are one-of-a-kind, responsibilities boundless,’ he asserted to the personnel. ‘Training will mold you comprehensively for adept handling—body, mind, and skill.’
