Rashtriya Janata Dal’s national executive president Tejashwi Yadav made headlines on April 13 by scrapping the party’s conventional student outfit and inaugurating the Socialist Students Association of India (SSAI). This national entity is set to prioritize education advancement and societal equity, aligning with Lyngdoh Committee recommendations post-Supreme Court ruling.

Critiquing Bihar’s governance, Yadav highlighted the NDA’s failures over 20 years: a bankrupt state, dismal progress in health, education, and industry. He portrayed Bihar’s notoriety as the nation’s poverty capital.

Amid speculation on the next CM, Yadav contended the decision rests with two individuals, but the appointee won’t represent public will—betraying the NDA’s electoral face. He foresaw irrelevance for Nitish’s current sycophants soon, accusing the power elite of fiddling with political chess while ignoring Bihar’s masses. JD(U), he said, has morphed into BJP’s mere outpost.
