The appointment of Tejashwi Yadav as RJD’s national executive president has ignited a fierce political row in Patna, with BJP and JD(U) leaders decrying it as blatant dynastic overreach. Compounding the issue is Rohini Acharya’s contentious social media outburst, which has laid bare alleged family tensions.
BJP’s vocal spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain minced no words, calling it ‘RJD’s road to ruin.’ He reminisced about Lalu Prasad’s social justice appeal that galvanized supporters, only to lambast Tejashwi for inheriting power without merit. ‘It’s pure parental bias—no political prowess in sight,’ Hussain charged.
Highlighting brewing dissent, he argued the move confirms RJD as a Yadav family enterprise, alienating dedicated workers. Rohini’s post, dripping with sarcasm about a ‘puppet prince’s ascension,’ is proof of internal chaos, Hussain contended, with cadres losing faith rapidly.
Hussain turned the screw on Tejashwi’s electoral shortcomings: ‘Rewarding defeat? He’ll be the final nail in RJD’s coffin—this party is doomed.’
JD(U)’s Neeraj Kumar amplified the critique, reading Rohini’s tweet as Lalu’s own family disowning him as an ‘invalid’ figurehead. ‘RJD’s glory days are over; Tejashwi heads a feuding household, not a party,’ he jabbed.
As barbs fly, this episode threatens to deepen RJD’s divisions, potentially reshaping Bihar’s opposition dynamics ahead of future polls.
