Tension prevailed in Chiraiya Kot space of Mau district Wednesday, a day after a 20-year-old Dalit man was shot useless allegedly over “old enmity”. Family members of the deceased, Arvind, have accused Rahul Singh, a member of the Thakur group, of killing him.
According to police, the incident passed off on Tuesday night when Arvind, who was making ready for Indian Army recruitment, had gone for jogging with two buddies, Aman and Abhishek. Both of them fled the spot after the homicide.
Police stated that following his loss of life, residents of Asalpur village attacked a couple of homes belonging to members of the Thakur group. Rahul’s relative, Kailash Singh, suffered head harm through the assault. The villagers additionally protested with Arvind’s physique and blocked the highway resulting in the village.
