Authorities have demolished the house of Dr. Umar Nabi in Pulwama, South Kashmir, as part of an overnight operation. Dr. Nabi is reportedly associated with the Delhi Red Fort blast case, which claimed the lives of 12 people. This action underscores the intensified drive to disrupt and dismantle networks suspected of orchestrating the fatal explosion. The blast, which took place near the Lal Quila Metro Station, devastated a Hyundai i20 car and multiple adjacent vehicles, causing significant casualties. Investigations are actively probing a link to a terror module recently uncovered in Faridabad, resulting in the apprehension of several individuals and a comprehensive investigation into the entire operation. The government has officially designated the Delhi explosion as a ‘terror’ incident. Following a Cabinet meeting, where tributes were paid to the victims, a strong resolve to bring the perpetrators to justice was reiterated. The Cabinet Committee on Security also convened to address the situation. Separately, Al Falah University in Faridabad is facing scrutiny following the arrest of several doctors connected to it in relation to the blast. The government has ordered a forensic audit of the university’s records and is directing financial transaction probes by the Enforcement Directorate and other agencies.
