Biswa Bandhu Sen, the Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, is in critical condition after suffering a brain hemorrhage at the Agartala Railway Station. The incident occurred while he was traveling to Dharmanagar. He collapsed in a restroom at the station and was immediately taken to Tripura Medical College (TMC). Medical tests confirmed the internal bleeding, and doctors recommended immediate surgery, which is now taking place at the ILS Hospital in Agartala. Sen has served as the MLA for the Dharmanagar constituency four times, beginning with his initial win in 2008. He won again in 2013, 2018, and 2023, showcasing his sustained popularity and political influence within the region.
