Actor and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) supremo Vijay convened with the families of those who tragically perished in the Karur stampede. The meeting was held on Monday at a Mahabalipuram hotel, Tamil Nadu, underscoring the party’s commitment to supporting the bereaved. TVK had previously disbursed Rs. 20 lakh to the victims’ families. Vijay shared words of solace, assuring them of continued support and comfort during this trying period. “We will stand with you in every possible way, offering comfort and support,” he reiterated. The Supreme Court’s directive has initiated a CBI investigation, with IPS officer Praveen Kumar at the helm, to thoroughly examine the circumstances surrounding the stampede.
