Breaking: Prasad Nagar’s vigilant patrolling unit foiled a looming threat in New Delhi by nabbing two hardened thugs on February 22. The criminals, lurking for an opportunity to strike big, were tipped off by a local source and cornered after a tense foot chase near Shiv Mandir, Bapa Nagar.
Recovered items included an iPhone robbed from Patel Nagar jurisdiction and a white Activa scooter linked to the heist. The prime suspect, 25-year-old Karan Ranchoiya of Karol Bagh, has a notorious record with pending cases at Rajendra Nagar, Daryaganj, and Sarai Rohilla police stations for similar offenses. His partner Jatin shares a comparable criminal profile.
The operation’s success is credited to ASI Johrilal, alongside Constables Sandeep Bhati, Shubham, and Amit Nagar, who were on routine duty. This incident highlights Delhi Police’s robust night patrols as a cornerstone of crime prevention.
With arrests formalized and probes deepening, a dedicated squad is pursuing leads on other gang members. The community welcomes this victory, signaling stronger security measures amid rising snatching incidents in the national capital.
