An encounter between security forces and terrorists in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, claimed the life of a soldier. The incident occurred during a search operation conducted in the elevated region of Udhampur. The army was engaged in a firefight with terrorists, during which a soldier was injured. Despite efforts to provide medical care, the soldier succumbed to his wounds at the hospital.
The search operation was launched on Friday evening in the Dudu-Basantgarh area of Udhampur and the Seoj Dhar forest border area of Bhadrawah in Doda. This operation was a collaborative effort between the army and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. During the search, terrorists initiated gunfire, causing injury to a soldier who later died.
