Ukraine-Russia struggle: Air India’s fifth evacuation flight lands in Delhi with 249 Indians

NEW DELHI: Air India’s fifth evacuation flight got here from the Romanian capital Bucharest to Delhi on Monday morning with 249 Indian nationals who had been stranded in Ukraine amid the Russian army offensive, officers mentioned.

India started the evacuation of its residents from Romania and Hungary, neighbouring international locations of Ukraine, from Saturday onwards.

Tata Group-owned Air India has evacuated a complete of 1,156 Indian nationals in 5 evacuation flights until now.

Officials mentioned another evacuation flight is predicted to land in Delhi on Monday.
