Villagers spot women tied in subject, rush hospital

Three women, aged 15, 14 and 16, had been discovered tied in a subject in Babuhara village in Asoha, round 36 km south of Lucknow, on Wednesday night. According to the police, the ladies didn’t return after they left their home to take fodder for the cattle. On recognizing the ladies, the villagers knowledgeable the police and rushed all of them to the hospital.

Suspected honor killing?

Politicians bounce in

Meanwhile, political leaders jumped in and levelled allegations towards the Uttar Pradesh authorities. Congress normal secretary Priyanka Gandhi mentioned that the Yogi-led authorities was not solely suppressing the Dalit society, but in addition crushing the honour and human rights of girls within the state. 

“The UP government is not only crushing Dalit society, but also the honour and human rights of women. But they should remember that I and the entire Congress party will stand as the voice of victims and will endeavour to get them justice,” she mentioned. 

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati expressed condolences to the affected household, and described the incident “very serious and sad”. 

“The BSP demands a high level inquiry into the incident and strict punishment for the culprits,” Mayawati tweeted.

Samajwadi Party MLC Sunil Singh Sajan has alleged that the Unnao police was attempting to hush up the case. He has sought a probe by an unbiased company within the matter.
