UP man ties canine to bike, drags it over 2 km; arrested

GHAZIABAD: In a surprising incident, a person has been arrested right here for tying a canine to his motorbike with a rope and dragging it for round 2.5 km on Saturday.
The man has been recognized as Islam, a resident of the Vijay Nagar police station space. He was caught by the onlookers who rescued the injured canine and took it to a hospital.
Surbhi Rawat, President of People for Animals (PFA), stated that the accused first hit the stray with a brick, following which it misplaced consciousness.
Rawat stated she reached the spot on receiving data of the incident and located the canine coated in blood, following which Islam was handed over to the police.
The accused claimed that he was taking the canine to desert it at a special place after it had proven indicators of “abnormal behaviour” and bitten a number of individuals.
ACP Anshu Jain stated: “A video was received through social media, wherein a dog was being dragged after being tied to a bike by a person. The said person has been identified and arrested. Further action is being taken in the matter.”
