A differently-abled man has been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police for the alleged murder of his sister, who was preparing for the IAS examination. The incident occurred on August 31 in Aliyapur village, Hardoi district, under the Pali police station limits. The accused is accused of killing his sister, Manvi Mishra, in coordination with their mother, who has also been apprehended. Police are investigating the possibility of an honour killing. Initially, the pair tried to convince the police that the incident was a suicide. However, forensic examination findings raised suspicions, especially regarding the placement of the firearm. The pistol was located in her right hand, but the bullet entered her head from the left side. A senior police officer mentioned that the family was unhappy because she had married against their wishes. Manvi had married a school principal in Bareilly at an Arya Samaj temple. The accused later admitted to the crime.
