Uttarakhand bypolls: Congress fields Nirmala Gahatodi towards Pushkar Singh Dhami

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Friday fielded Nirmala Gahatodi towards Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for the bypolls to the Champawat Assembly seat.

Dhami, who had misplaced from Khatima through the Assembly elections, is required to be elected to the state Assembly to proceed because the chief ministers.

The byelections will probably be held on May 31.

An announcement issued by Congress General Secretary Mukul Wasnik on Friday stated get together president Sonia Gandhi authorised Nirmala’s candidature for the Champawat bypolls.

Nirmala belongs to the Brahmin neighborhood and had come into limelight throughout an anti-liquor motion practically three many years in the past.
