The Uttarakhand Investment Utsav – 2025 in Rudrapur witnessed Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recognition of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government’s achievement in grounding investments worth Rs 1 lakh crore following the December 2023 Global Investors Summit. Shah commended the state government and pledged full support from the Central Government. Shah reiterated the importance of converting summit MoUs into actual investments. He expressed his happiness at the successful implementation of Rs 1 lakh crore, generating 81,000 new jobs, and creating the possibility of over 250,000 additional jobs via related industries. Shah also remarked on the expansion of industries in Uttarakhand’s secondary and tertiary cities. He commended the state government’s efforts in balancing development and environmental protection. Shah referred to the creation of Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh and the consistent support from the Modi government since 2014. Shah highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s contributions to national development, focusing on economic advancements and poverty reduction. He stressed that the development of Uttarakhand is vital for achieving a Developed India by 2047. He praised the state government’s initiatives to foster investment and predicted growth in sectors like Ayurveda, Yoga, naturopathy, and organic farming. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed Amit Shah and celebrated the concrete outcomes of the Global Investment Summit. Dhami highlighted the role of Uttarakhand’s inherent potential, entrepreneurial drive, and public involvement in inclusive development. He mentioned that over Rs 1 lakh crore in investment proposals have been brought to fruition. Dhami outlined the state government’s industrial development initiatives, including various policy implementations, the establishment of a startup venture fund, and infrastructure development like parks and logistics centers. Uttarakhand has received accolades for Ease of Doing Business and Startup programs, and offers over 260 online business services.
