An all-women police team in Ghaziabad made history by conducting its first-ever encounter, leading to the arrest of a 22-year-old criminal. The incident happened on Sunday night after a gunfight. The suspect, Jitendra, a resident of Vijay Nagar, was stopped by the police during a routine check, but he attempted to escape. When ordered to surrender, Jitendra reportedly opened fire on the officers, who then retaliated and apprehended him. Senior Police Officer Upasana Pandey confirmed the suspect’s involvement in a number of snatching, robbery, and vehicle theft cases. Jitendra confessed to stealing motorcycles, scooters, and snatching valuables in the Delhi-NCR area. The police recovered a pistol, ammunition, a stolen scooter, a mobile phone, and a tablet. The stolen scooter had been reported to Delhi police. The mobile phone and the tablet had been reported stolen that same day from the Crossing area.
