KHARGONE: At least 14 automobiles had been swept away whereas round 50 individuals ran for security to larger locations in a forest in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district on account of sudden rise of water in a river after rains, police stated on Monday

The individuals, together with ladies and kids, all from Indore district, had been on Sunday night having fun with a picnic close to the Sukdi river in Katkoot forest below Balwada police station limits, Additional Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Pawar stated.

Following rains within the space, the river water stage all of the sudden rose.

The picnickers rushed to larger locations within the forest to save lots of themselves, leaving their automobiles and sports activities utility automobiles (SUVs) behind, the official stated.

At least 14 automobiles, together with some SUVs, had been swept away within the waters, he stated.

After being alerted, police reached the spot and pulled out 10 automobiles and SUVs with the assistance of tractors of native villagers.
