The monsoon season has brought both relief and challenges to different regions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts continued heavy rainfall, especially in central and northwest India over the next few days. The IMD emphasizes that extreme weather events are becoming more frequent due to climate change, with potential consequences such as displacement and infrastructure damage. The public is advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions. Yellow and Red alerts have been issued for several states, including East Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, West Uttar Pradesh, South Haryana, East Uttar Pradesh, and West Rajasthan. Delhi residents have welcomed the rain, which has lowered temperatures. The IMD predicts continued rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning until July 17. Southern states are expected to receive light showers, while hot and humid conditions are anticipated in specific areas of East Assam, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Rayalaseema.
